Joint Admission Requirements
& Application Procedures
The WOOD-MAS EMJM programme is academically designed primarily for graduates from wood science, wood technology, forestry, and closely related disciplines. Admission requirements and procedures are defined to ensure academic coherence, successful progression across mobility pathways, and alignment with programme learning outcomes, while maintaining controlled openness to selected related fields.
Primary Target Disciplines
Priority eligibility - No quota restrictions
Priority eligibility is granted to applicants holding a Bachelor's degree (minimum 180 ECTS or equivalent) in one of the following fields or closely related programmes:
Wood Science
Wood Technology
Forestry
Forest Products Engineering
Wood-Based Materials and Composites
Furniture Engineering and Manufacturing
Timber Engineering and Wood Construction
Relevant Discipline accepted by admission board
â Applicants from these fields are considered fully aligned with the academic profile of the programme and are assessed without disciplinary quota restrictions.
Related Disciplines
With quota restrictions
Graduates from other relevant but non-core disciplines may be considered for admission within predefined quota limits, provided that their academic background demonstrates sufficient relevance to wood-based systems, materials, or technologies.
These disciplines may include, but are not limited to:
Annual disciplinary quotas approved by the JAC and validated by the PSC
Evidence of prior coursework, projects, or professional experience relevant to wood-based materials, structures, manufacturing, or sustainability
Possible additional academic conditions, such as preparatory or bridging activities, where deemed necessary
Language Proficiency
English language requirements
All applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency at a minimum level of B2 (CEFR) or equivalent, as defined by the consortium.

- Internationally recognised language tests
- Formal certification of prior education in English

Exemptions and validity periods are applied uniformly across the consortium in accordance with EMJM guidelines.
